Salmon Fishing

Fishing Little Traverse Bay in Petoskey, Michigan is becoming an annual Labor Day ritual for my Dad and my two brothers. The fishing was rough this year. The weather had changed a few days before we were up and the surface temp of the water was a chilly 46 degrees F. We have new downriggers, but it ended up being a dipsy-diver that got my king. I caught a 36 inch / 16 lb King Salmon, on a green skirted fly in about 50 ft of water.

Mmmm...salmon steaks one night, followed by filets the next.
